The text is interesting enough, but holy mathematics are there a lot of typos. and 'Am I the right person to do it?' Hardy's short book "A Mathematician's Apology" was mentioned in various contexts. But these are qualms with the publisher not the book. Anyways, I was pleased to see his perspective on what constitutes "real" math, and how the math's "importance" depends on how it connects ideas and the aesthetics. An accessible perspective on the mind of a pure mathematician from the pen of the great Mathematicians of the early 20th century.

It is difficult to overstate his importance. You can still see all customer reviews for the product. I've spent a non-trivial amount of around mathematicians. My personal answer is that what really counts, in the end, is how much you loved and, what was sorely missing in Hardy's life, how much you express that love. If you have already encountered A Mathematician's Apology, I very much doubt you will demur from my review title. I was fascinated to see a mathematician's attitude towards real life applica. Only depressing instead of uplifting. The image on the cover is pixelated. He was one of the first to show that mathematics is as much art as science without having to have interpretation (such as Dunham's "Journey Through Genius..."). What it accomplishes instead is giving a precise, objective, cruel, marhematically clear picture of the drive, the ambition, the passion for excellence in any activity, be it a sport or a science that makes the life of the ones who dedicate their life to it so more pure and meaningful.
