The first day started sunny and warm - in the afternoon, the wind picked up and carried clouds of haze / smoke from nearby wildfires, which for a while created a 'sunset effect' of golden light (which was very cool!) Scenic trail, fairly steep climb. Hiked it with a 4 and 7 year old they both made it all the way. Lake Granby is southwest of Estes Park, just outside the bottom left corner of Rocky Mountain National Park.
