Our daughter (19mths) absolutely loved the hotel, the entertainment was great and meeting the characters was definately a bonus!Meals were a little pricey in the hotels and within the park. Its not cheap but it is great value. It ha a bunk beds, pull out bed and a sofa bed plus a double bed so pretty reasonable. I had also asked for the bill as we were feeling frustrated at the service. The reception gave us a pass and we were able to park right next to the front gates .. A very nice perk . Dear jane1979e,Thank you for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor about your visit to the Alton Towers Resort. Breakfast was a buffet and had a really good selection. The star of the show has to be enchanted forest which hosts 14 hours of kids entertainment from meet and greets to game shows to soft play and more. I am so glad that despite it not being a perfect, you and your family still had an absolutely amazing time! I was actually sad we never saw the lovely Sarah this time - I hope she still works at the hotel as shes a real asset! It was very helpful to know what was included before we went. I guess they do this randomly if the premium rooms do not sell out. The Hotel is immaculate, colourful and completely Cbeebies mad (but then it is new). The only person with half a smile was a young trainee who didn't seem to be getting the guidance she needed. It's the staff that could make a real difference to this place and at the moment cbeebiesland hotel have got this aspect very wrong. In the park itself, I purchased items from the gift shop at the front of the park. Not a cheap stay over but worth every penny when you see your children’s faces. Not really set up for pushchairs either and we had to swap for just a car seat which then didn't fit on the booth seat because the table was too close. Corey wasn’t friendly and mumbled a lot. I shall also pass on your suggestions regarding a soft play as I think that this is a truly fantastic idea!We can't wait to welcome you back to the Resort in the future. I feel frustrated I paid £45 for a meal with awful service.Despite loving the hotel and my son loving the hotel, Corey’s attitude wasted it a little so I am only happy to give 3 stars. Wonderfully decorated and planned for families. We again ate in the windmill restaurant and this time time choose to have dinner there too. Room types may vary. Fewer than half the tables were occupied and one table of 6 remained piled high with used dishes for the entire 40 minutes we were there. Poole. No bananas. However that was last year. You need your key cards to get through every door and lift.Entering the room the kids excitement increased. I must say that we were extremely impressed with the whole thing, and suspect the BBC must have had some serious involvement to ensure the brand is protected. The kids loved it.I had read some bad reviews about the windmill restaurant so I was expecting the worst. The staff member noticed our sons birthday presents and asked if we were celebrating a birthday and if we wanted to purchased the birthday package which we said was another extravagance we weren't going to fork out for but he still left our son a birthday certificate, pen and badge in our room on arrival! I stayed here with my partner and two children for one night on 25th October and have mixed feelings about the stay. Breakfast the next morning was really good with good quality food that really catered for children. We are pleased to hear that you and your family had a great time celebrating your daughters birthday. more. My son had just turned 2 and the hotel had previously been brilliant for him. Stayed in a Swashbuckle room for two nights in July for my son's fourth birthday: this new hotel had been excessively trailed on TV and he had become obsessed with going. Carpet to ceiling CBeebies Land, including fantastical light fixtures, moving objects, interactive displays, a tunnel into the shop, a huge screen set behind rows of beanbags and soft toys.Toddler seats and steps even in the communal loos. Overall, we thought it was very good. The bar-staff and waiting staff, mostly Romanian, were very helpful, well-trained and their English impeccable. So much potential but just lacks those all important finishing touches! The room was clean and of a high standard. That evening we ate at the Windmill Restaurant. The least I would have expected was a small welcome gift for the children and if this was in a treasure chest in the swashbuckle rooms then this would have been perfect. Everything has such a fun theme and is bright and colourful. It's good to see they've had good customer service training and that the establishment has clearly chosen the right people for the job. Not really set up for pushchairs either and we had to swap for just a car seat which then didn't fit on the booth seat because the table was too close. Food is actually ok, however for the price it should be amazing. After 15 mins or so Alex brought over our mains but he had to chase Corey for our drinks as they had still not arrived. We first visited this hotel last August for his first birthday and it was an amazing experience. Given our reputation as the UK’s favourite Resort we are always proud to provide such memorable experiences to our guests, and it's very rewarding to hear what a great time you had with us. They have their own television and play space. So if you’re staying over at one of the Alton towers hotels, be prepared to pay way over the odds for mediocre food and service.More, Hi SelbLou,Thank you for taking the time to send us your comments about your experience at our Windmill Restaurant in our CBeebies Land Hotel. I would have expected a king size bed as there is plenty of room to accomodate it. The room itself was clean and the bathroom was spotless. We take great pride in everything that we have managed to achieve not only with our delightful rooms that is dedicated for all things family but also with extremely exciting entertainment. Entertainment was great, staff very friendly. The Windmill restaurant, where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner, was also of a really high standard, with healthy options amongst the normal fare. Nasty, not good when paid £500 for the night.More, Dear Littlefish86,Thank you for taking the time to write a review on TripAdvisor about your short break.
